The Idea Behind John’s Crazy Socks
In 2016, John came up with the idea to sell crazy socks. He asked his father to join him in starting the business. John’s intent was to make people happy with socks. The father-and-son team initially sold only socks made by other people. Over time, they designed and manufactured their own socks and created a line of socks called J’s.
As the business grew, they needed to hire other people, and they began hiring people with differing abilities. In time, more than half of their colleagues had a differing ability. The mission of John’s Crazy Socks expanded to not only spread happiness, but to show what people with differing abilities can do.
That mission continues today. You can find all the socks you loved at John’s Crazy Socks, and John’s Crazy Socks still produces J’s socks. We are still spreading happiness and employing people with differing abilities.
Wahooo Market Builds on the Success of John’s Crazy Socks
Wahooo Market is expanding the story and the mission of John’s Crazy Socks. Yes, we sell socks, and we sell socks made by John’s Crazy Socks. But we are so much more. Wahooo Market sells socks and other products for you and to give as gifts. We offer apparel, jewelry, home items, and food items, including candy, cookies, and coffee. We feature gift items you will love. These products are made by people with differing abilities or by companies that employ people with differing abilities.
You can find Wahooo Market online (WahoooMarket.com), and we now have a retail store where you can shop in person and meet John and our staff. Our retail store is located in Huntington Village, New York, at 328A Main Street. Step inside the Wahoo Market store and you will feel the happiness.
