At the Wahooo Market by John, we have a mission to show what people with differing abilities can do. Our commitment to inclusion means our website must be accessible to everyone. We believe everyone — including people with differing abilities — should be able to shop, browse, and engage with our site fully and independently. We view accessibility as an essential part of our mission.

We work to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the technical standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA). We regularly test our site using automated accessibility assessment tools, and we review and remediate issues as they're identified. Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix — as our site evolves, we continue to test, monitor, and improve.

What We Do

We have taken several steps to ensure our website is accessible.

We routinely use assessment tools to rate our site's accessibility. We ensure that we are ADA & EAA compliant. We also meet WCAG 2.2 AA-based standards.

We review the underlying code at our website to ensure that it delivers accessibility. We have built our website on the Shopify platform, but we have access to code that enables us to make changes to make the site accessible for all.

We have worked with the Viscardi Center to install the AccessiBe accessibility tool. We sought the Viscardi Center's world-renowned expertise because we wanted to make sure we do things right. The accessibility tool is yet another way we work to make our site accessible.
